One of the great challenges facing the PSOE in the Community of Madrid is to recover, at least, the leadership of the opposition lost last 4-M in favor of Más Madrid. That is one of the tasks entrusted to Juan Lobato in his first experience as secretary general of the Madrid Socialists and as head of the list for the regional elections of the next 28-M. And for this, he will have the impulse of the central government headed by his party.

In fact, without even having started the pre-campaign, which will be launched once Holy Week has passed, the landing of ministers in the region is already palpable. Of the 17 socialist positions that make up the Cabinet of La Moncloa, more than half have already come during the last month and a half to wrap up their candidate for Madrid in some act. Even the president, Pedro Sánchez, shared space with Lobato in the act of the party for the 8-M. "It always helps to have the presence of ministers and the president for the campaign," say socialist sources, contrary to that idea that they handle in the PP and in the team of Isabel Díaz Ayuso that the presence of members of the Government in the capital remains.

"People perceive that the measures that are being implemented from Moncloa reach them and their life is improving after a very complicated stage," say sources around Lobato, who value with "optimism" the presence of ministers next to the candidate. A round whose beginning could be set on February 27 with Félix Bolaños, Minister of the Presidency, visiting the residents of San Fernando de Henares affected by the works of Metro Line 7B.

There, the minister delved into the "terrible" situation experienced by families and was "impressed by the magnitude of what happened" by "the negligence" of the regional government. "It is even more terrible the absolute insensitivity of a government that completely abandons the neighbors at the worst moment of its life," he said in a clear electoral message of opposition to the management of the Executive of Ayuso.

A day later, on the occasion of the Day of Andalusia, the head of Agriculture, Luis Planas, also accompanied Lobato in an act in Parla with the mayor, Ramón Jurado. And already jumping to March 18, it was the turn of Margarita Robles, Minister of Defense, who went to Aranjuez to the presentation of the municipal candidate, Óscar Blanco, together with the secretary general of the PSOE-M.

A week in which up to three ministers, Robles included, escorted Lobato in different acts. On the 19th, the Minister of Education, Pilar Alegría, attended a visit to the Rastro with the regional candidate and the municipal candidate, Reyes Maroto, former Minister of Industry. A day later, the chosen one was Nadia Calviño, first vice president and head of Economy, in the Equality awards.

Lobato would count again on March 25 with the presence of Bolaños in the presentation of the candidate for mayor of Colmenar Viejo, Paloma Maroñas. And, 24 hours later, it would be Pilar Llop, responsible for Justice, who would participate with the leader of the PSOE-M in an act of citizen participation with neighbors in Fuenlabrada. The closure, for the moment, to this landing of members of the Moncloa Cabinet came on March 28 with the Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, in the presentation of the candidate for the City Council of Parla, the current socialist mayor, Ramón Jurado.

An exceptional case is that of Reyes Maroto, finally appointed to attend the elections to the City Council of the capital, after weeks of speculation about who would occupy that position in the socialist ranks, after the multiple blows that the formation has suffered in the capital in recent years placing paratroopers as head of the list.

Since her appointment, the former minister has reinforced her presence with Lobato in all kinds of events, from those convened by the attacks of 11-M to the visit to a plot for an institute in Villaverde.
