On 4 April, the Ministry of Justice held a national conference in Beijing to promote judicial administration work and a commendation meeting for advanced collectives and individuals in the national prison drug rehabilitation system, commending 4 advanced prison collectives, 76,1075 advanced individuals, 37 advanced collectives in drug rehabilitation centers, and 226 advanced individuals who are fighting on the front line of prison drug rehabilitation work.
The meeting pointed out that in recent years, under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the national prison drug rehabilitation system has resolutely built political loyalty, unswervingly implemented the overall national security concept, comprehensively promoted strict regulation, fairness and civilized law enforcement, focused on improving the quality of education reform and education treatment, effectively prevented and reduced repeat violations and crimes, overcome the severe test of the epidemic, maintained sustained security and stability in prisons and institutions, won a series of tough battles to maintain stability and security, and made important contributions to safeguarding national security, social stability and people's tranquility. A large number of advanced models, such as Zhang Wenbo, Tong Liang, and Chen Xu, have emerged, and some cadres and policemen have even sacrificed their precious lives to interpret with practical actions the political nature of being loyal to the party, the country, the people, and the law.
The meeting emphasized that in the new journey of building a strong country and national rejuvenation, judicial administrative organs should firmly support the "two establishments" and resolutely achieve the "two safeguards" into practical actions, firmly grasp the theme education, unremittingly use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to forge the soul, and consciously use the positions and views of Xi Jinping Thought on the rule of law to promote the high-quality development of administrative legislation, administrative law enforcement, criminal punishment enforcement, public legal services, and foreign-related rule of law work. Prior to the meeting, the Ministry of Justice conferred promotions to some cadre police commissioners and police inspectors in accordance with procedures.
Leaders of the Ministry of Justice, commended representatives, principal responsible comrades of judicial departments (bureaus) of various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, relevant responsible comrades of the Secretariat of the Central Office for the Rule of Law in the State, discipline inspection and supervision groups stationed in the ministry, departments and bureaus of ministries and organs, and units directly under the Ministry of Justice, and principal responsible comrades of the Political Work Bureau of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Central Military Commission and the Political and Legal Audit Bureau of the Audit Office attended the meeting at the main venue. More than 2000,<> people, including members and middle-level cadres of judicial departments (bureaus) of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and principal responsible comrades of judicial police officers' vocational colleges (schools), lawyers associations, notary associations, and judicial appraisal associations, attended the meeting.
