• Dozens of relentless tornadoes and storms kill 26 people

The violent storm that hits the center of the United States has left spectacular images and a terrible trail of destruction in its wake.

As shown in the video of a tornado recorded in Pleasantville, 40 kilometers southeast of Des Moines (Iowa), which reached speeds of 177 km / h, and extended over 24 kilometers.

Several people have died and millions are on alert for a destructive storm that occurred on Wednesday in the state of Missouri, in the center of the United States, in which several tornadoes have been recorded.

CNN has reported that the storm has hit Bollinger County and that, according to official sources, there have been "multiple deaths and injuries." A number of affected that is not clear because they are still receiving data of what happened and rescue tasks are being carried out.

Some 85 million people remain on alert for a storm system that moves towards the center of the United States, after passing through the states of Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Michigan, where a dozen tornadoes have been counted in the last hours.

There was also strong hail, with balls the size of a baseball.

Last weekend more than thirty people died from the strong tornadoes that hit the Midwest and South of the United States, leaving thousands of homes destroyed, tens of thousands of homes without electricity and caused the roof of a concert hall to collapse.

The hardest hit states were Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana and Illinois.
