Egyptian director Hala Khalil likened the second half of Ramadan series to students waiting for their turn in the oral exam, and they are in a state of anxiety and fear of the impressions of the examinees, which is a very real analogy after the waves of criticism that some series were subjected to in the first half of the Ramadan.

The drama makers learned their first lesson, and after many objections to the 15-episode format in Ramadan series, some of them made the decision to present their work in only <> episodes.

Miniseries without boring events or superfluous characters, and with the entry of the second half of the holy month of Ramadan we have several works that will begin to be shown within days, which of them will withstand the criticism of the masses?

Changing the atmosphere

Starting tomorrow, Friday, Ramadan 16, the series "Change of Atmosphere" will begin, starring Mona Shalaby, Iyad Nassar, Saleh Bakri and Essam Omar, and revolves around Sherifa, a young Egyptian woman who faces various crises in her life, one of which is her sick mother.

Sharifa is looking for stability and some solutions in both Cairo and Beirut, and all this chaos overlaps her troubled love life.

The series is directed by Maryam Abu Auf, who has a number of very successful works, including "Why not?" in its first and second parts (she finally collaborated with Mona Shalaby as well), and recently it was shown on the Shahid platform "Wish Dahr", which is one of the series that was shown outside the Ramadan season and reached a wide segment of the audience and worked in it with Iyad Nassar.

"Changing the atmosphere" written by Mona El-Shimy, owner of the series "Who said?!" and "Keep Your Mind of Zizi", and it is clear from the artistic biographys of both the director and the author that their works are concerned with family relationships and their complexities, while trying to break the stereotypes surrounding them.

Under guardianship

Starring Mona Zaki, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Diab, Nisreen Amin, Rushdi Al-Shami and Omar Sharif, "Under Guardianship" revolves around a young woman and mother of two who inherits a fishing boat that she tries to work on to support her family, which is not compatible with prevailing social norms, in addition to her attempt to maintain her guardianship over her children.

There was a state of controversy over the series before its presentation, because of its advertisement, in which the actress appeared with features that look very miserable, and linked this to the hijab, but these criticisms will probably not affect the percentage of viewership in light of the exit of highly popular works from the race, such as "Full Number" and "The Seventh Harsha".

The series was written by brothers Khaled and Sherine Diab, and directed by Mohamed Shaker Khudair, the author of the series "Every Week on a Friday", "Do not extinguish the sun" and "Grand Hotel".

Khudair has a special interest in photography and decorations, which gives his work a clear visual imprint, and the announcement of the series Under Guardianship shows his clear investment in filming in the port and at sea.

It came intact

In a framework of fantasy and comedy, the series "Jet Salima" stars Donia Samir Ghanem, Mohamed Salam, Khaled Al-Sawy, Salwa Khattab, Hala Fakher and Mohamed Tharwat.

The events begin with the heroine "Salima", who reads in an old book of tales, and suddenly the story turns into a real world that Salima enters, and she is forced to deal with its frightening rules that endanger her life, and she has to do an impossible mission as heroes of legends.

"Jet Salima" marks the return of Donia Samir Ghanem to television after the cancellation of her series "Parallel World" last year, and her latest television work "Instead of the Three Story".

The series is directed by Islam Khairy, owner of the German Company for Combating the Paranormal: Jamjoom and Bam Bam, and "Azmi and Ashjan", and written by Karim Youssef, who recently participated in successful comedy series such as "Big Oy 6" and "Family Theme" in its first and second parts, raising expectations for the series.

fund

In the framework of suspense and excitement, comes the series "The Fund", starring Ali Qassem, Ahmed Dash, Hoda Al-Mufti, Tara Emad, Reham Abdel Ghafour and Samah Anwar. The events of the series begin with the arrival of a mysterious box containing incomprehensible instructions and messages, and three friends - Youssef, Reem and Yassin - begin to search for this box, and discover that it threatens not only their lives but the lives of their loved ones as well.

The series departs from the framework of comedy and social series prevailing in Ramadan 2023, with a different story and stars, most of whom are young people, and is written by Mustafa Saqr, who has presented a number of comedies in the past period.

In 2019, Saqr presented the comedy series "Kabil", a series that changed the career of its three stars Amina Khalil, Mohamed Farraj and Mohamed Mamdouh, and pushed them to the first row.

Directed by Marwan Abdel Moneim in his first ever experience as a director, "The Box" previously worked as an executive director and assistant director on several projects, including "Kira and the Jinn", "The Blue Elephant 2" and "Diamond Dust".

In addition to the previous series, the series of the second half of Ramadan 2023 is joined by the series "Talat Al-Talata", starring Ghada Abdel Razek and Laila Ahmed Zaher, and deals with the story of triplets twin sisters, and is directed by Hassan Saleh in his first experiments.
