When the store opened its doors again, the residents of Tannåker gathered outside the newly built grocery store to premiere shopping. A long queue snaked out into the parking lot as curious visitors were welcomed in by the shop owners.

Inside the store, the new store manager Fabian Johansson serves cake to customers.

Visitor Lisbeth Hägg has missed a local grocery store and is looking forward to not having to drive far for her errands.

Local Saturday candy saved

Among the shelves go Truls Kongstad, 8 with a basket and little brother Ted Kongstad, 4 notches on the heels.

"I want to buy a lot of toys and then I love candy and ice cream," says Ted Kongstad.

Unmanned at certain times

Fabian Johansson sees a need for a local grocery store in Tannåker. Now he is opening a hybrid store, which means that the store will eventually be unmanned at certain times.

Fabian Johansson has previously worked at the store in Forsheda, which is run by his parents, and feels ready to take on the role of store manager.

"I grew up in the retail world. We believe in this place, says Fabian Johansson.
