Moscow, 4 Apr (ZXS) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin said on 5 April that Russia is open to establishing constructive partnerships with all countries and hopes that all countries will uphold the principle of equality and mutual benefit in developing relations with Russia.

Putin said at the ceremony of accepting the credentials of the new foreign ambassador to Russia held in the Kremlin on the same day that the current international situation is complicated and has accumulated many contradictions, some of which seem to be unsolvable and constantly hinder fruitful normal cooperation between countries. He hoped that the work of the ambassadors would contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation.

Putin stressed that Russia is open to constructive cooperation with any country in the world. Russia has no intention of isolating itself, and it has no prejudice against any country, let alone hostility. At the same time, Russia hopes that all countries will uphold the principle of equality and mutual consideration of each other's interests in developing relations with Russia.

Putin said that Russia's newly issued foreign policy concept document expounds the system of views on Russia's national interests in the complex and changeable world situation, and determines the basic goals, tasks and key directions of Russia's diplomatic work. As an independent country, Russia will pursue a balanced and multi-directional foreign policy based on its domestic development priorities and its responsibility for maintaining global and regional peace and security.

Regarding Russian-US relations, Putin said that Russian-US relations directly related to global security and stability are in a deep crisis, which is rooted in the principle and position of Russia and the United States on building today's world order. Putin stressed that Moscow seeks to build Russian-American relations with Washington based on equality, respect for each other's sovereignty and interests, and non-interference in each other's internal affairs.

Regarding relations with the EU, Putin noted that relations between Russia and the EU have seriously deteriorated in recent years. The Russian side believes that the reason for this is that the EU has abandoned its original intention as a European economic cooperation and integration development and provoked a geopolitical confrontation with Russia. Russia wants to gradually improve relations with the EU.

In addition, Putin expressed the hope that the Danish side will support Russia's proposal to establish an international investigation committee to find out the explosion of the "Nord Stream" gas pipeline. (End)
