Following a serious road accident, Frida Kahlo's life is turned upside down. Bedridden for several months, she devoted her time to painting, which she began to see as a way to express her pain. She begins a relationship with Diego Rivera, a muralist painter, but he soon cheats on her with his sister. Meanwhile, Frida Kahlo tried to present her work in American galleries, but her avant-garde paintings on abortion and birth were poorly received. Indeed, wounded by Diego Rivera, her paintings are becoming more and more feminist... How will she manage to make a name for herself?
