Virginie Girod SEASON 2022 - 202314h47, April 03, 2023

Discover the rest of the story dedicated to Albert Einstein, the physicist who unraveled the mysteries of time and the universe in the twentieth century. Albert Einstein got a job at the Bern patent office. His job leaves him free time to devote himself to research. 1905 was his miraculous year: he published four papers that revolutionized theoretical physics. In 1909, he found a position at the University of Zurich and published his theory of general relativity. But some researchers are waiting for a demonstration of his theories to believe it... How will he prove this theory? And what will be the rest of his career? In this new episode of the podcast "Au cœur de l'Histoire", Virginie Girod tells the life of Albert Einstein from 1919.

Virginie Girod tells the story of Albert Einstein, father of the theory of relativity. Born in Germany to a non-observant Ashkenazi Jewish family, Albert Einstein is a little boy who seems strange. He speaks little, so much so that his parents fear a language delay in him. But in reality, the young Albert Einstein is already watching the world around him closely. It is even at the age of five that his scientific vocation is revealed to him, while he understands that his compass always indicates the north, no matter in which direction he shakes it ...
