Beijing, 4 Apr (ZXS) -- China's National Immigration Administration and its station-level units held the first ceremony on 2 April to award the National Immigration Administration Medal for Guarding the Frontier, awarding the first batch of 2,8487 people with the Medal for Guarding the Frontier by the National Immigration Management Organization.

The vast number of civilian police of the national immigration management agency have been stationed in the snowy plateau and the difficult and remote areas of the Gobi desert all year round, and have made great sacrifices and outstanding contributions to safeguarding national political security and border stability. In order to further enhance the sense of honor, belonging and mission of the immigration management team, in accordance with the Regulations on National Meritorious Honors and Commendations, and with the approval of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, the National Immigration Management Agency was established to guard the frontiers.

It is reported that the main medal of the national immigration management agency's border guard medal is composed of five stars, Great Wall Pass, shield, olive branch, snow lotus flower and other elements. The snow lotus flower symbolizes perseverance, fearlessness and purity, and symbolizes the loyalty and belief and noble character, tenacious will and selfless dedication, fighting spirit and bloody responsibility of the border police. The sub-chapter is composed of streamers, peaks, ruyi and other elements, and gold, silver and bronze bars represent 30, 20, and 10 years of the edge, respectively.

In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Administrative Measures for the Issuance of Commemorative Medals for Guarding Frontiers by State Immigration Administration Organs, gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to in-service immigration management police officers who have worked in the entire Tibet Autonomous Region and other border provinces and autonomous regions in three or more categories of hardship and remote areas (including border police officers who have worked in three or more categories of hardship and remote areas) for a cumulative total of 30, 20 and 10 years.
