This was stated in the Elysee Palace following a telephone conversation between Macron and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"The presidents of France and Ukraine discussed the alarming situation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, a few days after the visit of the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, with whom Emmanuel Macron will talk in the near future," TASS reports the text of the message.

It is specified that the French and Ukrainian leaders "agreed on the importance of supporting the actions of the agency on the ground."

Earlier it became known that Zelensky and Macron held an hour-long telephone conversation.

The Ukrainian president said that they "substantively and effectively" discussed the defense interaction between Kiev and Paris.

He also informed his colleague from France about the situation at the front and coordinated with him actions "in the context of the nearest international measures."
