In recent years, SIPO has gradually built an intellectual property think tank system led by the National Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committee, supported by the Intellectual Property Development Research Center and the China Intellectual Property Research Association, with the participation of various intellectual property research institutions, bringing together experts from the national economy, science and technology, education, culture and intellectual property fields to provide suggestions for the high-quality development of intellectual property. In 2010, the first National Intellectual Property Expert Advisory Committee was established. According to statistics, since the establishment of the fourth expert advisory committee in 2020, members have participated in more than 180 related work of the State Intellectual Property Office, involving nearly 700 members.
