The statement is reported by RIA Novosti.

"There is a stir and long queues in Kiev pharmacies. People massively buy medicines that from tomorrow will be dispensed only by electronic prescription, "the material says.

It is specified that from April 1, the "E-prescription" program will operate in Ukraine, according to which all prescription drugs and a large number of conventional medicines of a certain dosage can be bought only after visiting a doctor and receiving an electronic prescription.

In January, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Health of the Nation, Mikhail Radutsky, said that the markup for medicines in some pharmacies reaches 140%, which prevents the treatment of citizens.

He cited data from a September WHO survey, according to the results of which 60% of Ukrainians surveyed called high drug prices the main obstacle to affordable treatment.
