Digital change has reached the Spanish business fabric. And small businesses and the self-employed must, as soon as possible, adapt to this new context. Today, you're either digital or you're not. Something simple, but for these small companies it can be a challenge. Therefore, the great challenge is to take this type of companies to another level and make them participants in the social moment in which we find ourselves.

And here comes into play the Kit Digital aid program that aims to digitize companies with less than 50 workers, microenterprises and freelancers from all sectors so that they can advance digitally. With this, in addition, it will contribute to modernize the business productive fabric. A clear win to win for the whole country.

The most successful digitalization aid

Kit Digital, with a budget of 3,067 million euros is a program of the Government of Spain managed by Red.es, an entity attached to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, has become the most demanded aid program for the digitization of SMEs in the history of Spain. It is financed by the European Union, through NextGenerationEU funds, and grants digital bonds to companies of 12,000 euros, 6,000 euros or 2,000 euros, depending on their size.

This economic amount must be managed by choosing one or more of the multiple solutions and services offered by the Digital Kit program. In this sense, this budget can be allocated to create or improve a website, manage social networks, establish electronic invoicing in the company, design a marketplace or improve cybersecurity, among other aspects.

More than 1,000 million euros have already reached Spanish SMEs

Currently, more than 200,000 digital vouchers have already been granted to SMEs and the self-employed. In other words, more than 1,000 million euros – from NextGenerationEU – have already reached the hands of Spanish SMEs and microenterprises. All to implement basic digitalization solutions and improve productivity.

How to apply for this help?

The system to process this aid program is very simple. Behind him is Red.es that, under the slogan "zero papers", has designed a system based on robotization tools and Artificial Intelligence. These technologies reduce the bureaucratic burden, reduce the number of papers and documentation to be submitted and also help streamline the process. In fact, it has been possible to reduce the processing time of a file from three and a half hours to three minutes. Always preserving security and transparency.

It is as easy as the company authorizing Red.es to consult ex officio the requirements and obligations required to obtain the status of beneficiary. All this agility allows that, if a request is correct, it is granted in less than 3 weeks.

Nearly 10,500 digitizing agents throughout Spain

The Program wanted to give a leading role to ICT SMEs to ensure that digitalization is maintained over time and improves the productivity of beneficiary companies and digitizing agents Currently, Kit Digital has about 10,500 agents attached throughout Spain, of which 98% are small ICT companies.

The payment of the aid will be received by the digitizing agent once it has correctly justified the implementation of the solutions and the provision of the service to the SME. In this sense, if the justification is made correctly, the payment term is made in less than 60 days.
