The security policy situation in Sweden's immediate area and in Europe has deteriorated significantly due to Russia's ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine. Therefore, the issue of the basic responsibility of municipalities and regions before and during peacetime crises and increased preparedness now needs to be investigated.
"We are going to develop new legislation and I have experienced lawyers to help me," says County Governor Carl Fredrik Graf.
The work will be conducted in dialogue form with municipalities and regions to investigate shortcomings regarding roles and responsibilities in crises and increased preparedness.
-I hope that my experiences from having been chairman of a municipal board for twelve years, together with the insights I have gained during my four years as governor, will be useful in the investigation work, says Carl Fredrik Graf.
