Twitter CEO Elon Musk talks about the need to "treat everyone equally" on the platform, but a new report reveals that he has a list of "35 VIP users" who are supported on the platform.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, there are documents obtained by Blatt Forum that claim that people from the world of politics, sports, Hollywood and many journalists are getting privileged treatment and increased visibility.

The report states that when posting tweets from VIPs on the list, Twitter engineers modify the code so that their posts are "always visible."

Elite List

Among the elite receiving special treatment are Ben Shapiro, founder of the Daily Wire news website, US President Joe Biden, Los Angeles player LeKerr LeBron James, Bloomberg columnist Matt Iglesias, and others.

Looking at the names of the people on the list, they seem to have earned the status due to how engaged users are with them, whether they like them or hate them.

Musk revealed that starting April 15, users who do not pay for Twitter Blue, which costs $8 a month, will not be able to vote in polls. He said the changes would prevent "crowds of AI robots from taking over" the site, though he did not explain how that would be.

The CEO, who bought the social network in October, said paid social media would be "the only social media that matters".

Musk revealed to his employees that Twitter is now worth just $20 billion, $24 billion less than when it acquired it.
