China's ambassador to the EU admitted the possibility of a conversation between Xi Jinping and Zelensky

This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the European Union Fu Cong.

"The possibility is not excluded," he said in an interview with the Financial Times, commenting on the potential possibility of a conversation or meeting between Xi Jinping and Zelensky.

He also noted that high-ranking Chinese officials are in contact with their Ukrainian counterparts.

Earlier, Zelensky said that he was ready to hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Ukraine.

He noted that he had no contact with the Chinese leader throughout 2022.

In turn, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, noted that the department has no information about the meeting between Zelensky and Xi Jinping.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov commented on Zelensky's statement about the desire to meet with Xi Jinping.
