It was no ordinary day at work for Urban Jönsson on Wednesday. Several county administrative boards in the country had powder letters sent to them and in Blekinge the mail was handled by the archivist.

"It was a plain white envelope with no sender. We never opened it, but we handled it and thus there was a theoretical risk that I had got powder on my hands," says Urban Jönsson.

How do you see what happened?

"I see it as a collective attack on the county government as an authority. It wasn't directed at any single official," he said.

Later, together with another colleague, he was taken to Blekinge Hospital for observation.

The contents of the letter turned out to be harmless.

The powder letters are said to have been addressed to animal welfare officers in some parts of the country.
