The Turkish drone fighter "Kizilelma" (meaning "red apple") has successfully passed the test to determine the medium altitude system.

Turkish defense company Baykar said in a statement on Thursday that aerial tests of the drone fighter were still ongoing.

The statement added that the aforementioned test is the third for the drone fighter, and took place in the center of Akinci in the western province of Tekirdağ.

He said the drone reached an altitude of 20,<> feet during the last test.

The "Qizilma" is the first Turkish drone fighter developed domestically, and months ago it succeeded in carrying out its first flight in preparation for operational missions.

The 6-ton take-off drone can carry up to 1500,<> kilograms of rockets and munitions and is designed to use domestically developed munitions.

The "red apple", according to the manufacturer, is distinguished from drones by conducting blitzkrieg maneuvers and carrying out air-to-air combat missions like their conventional fighters.

Turkey gained international fame by providing Azerbaijan and then Ukraine with armed marches that played a prominent role in the clashes on the ground.
