On February 23, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Kiev regime had stepped up preparations for an invasion of Transnistria.

The ministry noted that the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Transnistria will be carried out in response to the alleged offensive of Russian troops from this territory.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Ukrainian authorities in every possible way demonstrate their readiness to intervene in the situation in Transnistria.
