It was on Wednesday, shortly after 10 a.m., that a suspicious shipment was discovered at the County Administrative Board in Umeå, the same thing happened at the other county administrative boards around the country.

Many threats to animal welfare officers

Lars Lustig says that for a long time there has been a national push against their administrators who handle animal issues and that those who work with animal welfare are the most vulnerable professional group that receives a lot of hate and threats.

"My hypothesis is that the powder letters may be related to this. The powder letters with the sender "Sweden's pet owner" are reminiscent of what we have seen before. But we will now give feedback to the police and they will have to put the puzzle together on a national level, says Lars Lustig.

The powder should be analyzed

Police announced today that the powder has been seized and will be sent to NFC, the National Forensic Center, for analysis. Right now, there is no suspect in the letter attack.
