The origin of the altercation is said to have been a conflict between students during the day. As the school day drew to a close, outside youths appeared, as well as relatives of the students. The data differ on how many people were involved in the altercation.

"There was a clash between young people outside of school. There was an underlying conflict. I myself and several other adults had to go in and try to avert the fight, says vice-chancellor Per Ola Olsson, to SVT Nyheter Skåne.

The police were called and they have taken accounts. It is currently unclear whether any person has been arrested.

"It's the first time something like this has happened at our school. Tomorrow we will sit down and investigate how it could happen," says Vice-Chancellor Per Ola Olsson.
