On Wednesday morning, alarms came from several parts of the country that county administrative boards had received letters containing white powder. The office in Karlskrona has been cordoned off and both police and rescue services are still working at the scene during the day to try to identify the letter's contents.

"Those who have been contaminated by this substance must be cleaned up, and then taken to hospital. There are two people who have been taken to hospital, says Emelie Lantz, rescue leader at the scene.

Extended roadblocks

Police cordons at the county administrative board area have been extended as the letter will now be investigated.

"We are in dialogue and collaborate with other authorities to see how we can help each other to possibly indicate this topic," says Emelie Latz.
