Big controversy in Spain with the cover of the very "people" magazine ¡Hola!, on which we see the star Ana Obregon, former presenter and star model, leaving a Miami hospital in a wheelchair with, in her arms, a baby. Ana Obregon is 68 years old. This baby is the result of surrogate gestation, a practice prohibited in the country.

Artificial insemination and surrogacy are topics that rarely make headlines here. But the very famous Ana Obregon, one of the favorites of the press of the heart, has managed to make the subject in all mouths, and invades social networks.

Is it moral that this 68-year-old woman can use a surrogate mother to give birth to a baby girl, when this practice is strictly prohibited in her own country? The debate is lively.

Those who defend her recall that she lost her only son, who died of cancer almost three years ago. But many critics argue that she acted like a capricious star who buys a human being elsewhere, because she has the means. This is the opinion expressed by the Minister of Parity, Irene Montero, and the majority of the left-wing government in power.

The latter, very much up against surrogacy (surrogacy), recently passed a law that prohibits any advertising by these agencies connecting infertile couples with surrogate mothers in countries where this practice is allowed. Ana Obregon declined to comment.
