Most recently, in January, the company announced 100 positions in Nybro. In February, 72 were laid off after negotiations. The reason was higher prices, increased inflation and rising interest rates.

The situation has since worsened, according to the company. Now they are giving notice again and this time 90 employees are affected.

79 employees out of 90 live in Sweden, and are divided into 71 collective employees and eight salaried employees. Johan Magnusson does not want to go into exactly how many people are given notice in Nybro because it can be singled out according to him. But that's over 70 employees.

"It is extremely sad to have to lay off competent and loyal employees. At the same time, we must adapt our production to the prevailing conditions and become even more efficient in order to be a competitive and profitable business over time," says Carl-Henrik Stenermark, Vice President and Site Manager at Nybro.

In the press release, the company writes that high inflation and continued rising interest rates have a negative impact on sales in the residential segment. The low level of consumer confidence also continues to create challenges in demand.
