• According to 'Hello!' Ana Obregón, mother at 68 years of a baby born by surrogacy in the US
  • Her family Celia, Ana Obregón's sister: "We are a little in shock"

The reactions to the newly released maternity of Ana Obregón, who has traveled to the United States to have a daughter through surrogacy at age 68, have not been long in coming. Aelssandro Lequio, his former partner and father of his only son to date, Aless Lequio, who died in 2020 because of cancer, has assured the magazine 'Semana' that "he does not want to talk about this issue", but popular faces of Telecinco have already made their impressions public.

Early this morning, 'El programa de Ana Rosa' began its current affairs table commenting on the cover of '¡Hola!'. And one of the presenters, Joaquín Prat, has been very critical of Ana Obregón's decision.

"There are many ways to be close to childhood. You can be on the list of foster families, volunteer to help children... but it seems to me an act of selfishness that you go to Miami to buy a child or become a mother by surrogacy, whatever you want to call it. Ana Obregón has not been a mother, she is going to act as the mother of a girl and I think that Ana has not thought at all about her future, but has thought more about herself than about the interest of the girl, "said the presenter.

The presenter, Ana Rosa Quintana, on the other hand, has been more aseptic. He assured, thus, that he feels "incapable of judging Ana Obregón." "We all understand that she has suffered the worst, which is losing a child, and now she has opted for a new motherhood," he added.

The presenter has also compared the motherhood of Ana Obregón at age 68, with her personal case, when she was a mother with 48 years because of the "debate" that aroused the age at which she had her children. "Look, I remember that when I got pregnant it was horrible, I was never going to arrive, now my children are almost 19 years old, I was in my forties then... perhaps now the great debate is Ana's age," he stressed, since he considers that "68 years is a lot to have a child."

Other popular faces, such as the presenter and influencer Inés Hernand, have positioned themselves against surrogacy. Thus, in a message shared on his Twitter account, Hernand has published a photo of Obregón leaving the hospital in a wheelchair next to the following message: "The chair to be able to easily move such a hard face, I imagine."
