Boao, March 3 (ZXS) -- On March 29, the Boao Forum for Asia 3 Annual Conference - Chinese Business Leaders and Chinese Think Tank Roundtable was held in Boao, Hainan.

The conference was hosted by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China. The theme of this year's roundtable is "Leveraging Overseas Chinese Strength, Deepening International Cooperation, and Working Together to Cope with Global Changes". More than 12 Chinese business leaders, experts and scholars from 30 countries and regions attended the conference to discuss and exchange views on sub-topics such as Chinese-style modernization, overseas Chinese and the "Belt and Road", and coping with the challenges of international order changes.

Chen Xu, director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, attended and spoke at the meeting. Chen Xu pointed out that in the face of unprecedented changes in a century, in the face of an uncertain world, overseas Chinese businessmen should accurately identify changes, take the initiative to seek changes, give full play to their advantages in the changes, and contribute more wisdom and strength in helping China's development to win more understanding and recognition, devote themselves to the great cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development of overseas Chinese communities.

Chen Xu said that the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council will thoroughly implement the requirements of the party and the state on strengthening and improving overseas Chinese affairs, actively respond to the demands of overseas Chinese, promote the introduction of more policies to benefit overseas Chinese and facilitate overseas Chinese, earnestly safeguard the safety and vital interests of overseas Chinese, make more efforts and do more practical things in serving overseas Chinese, and strive to be an intimate person for overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese and their families.

"Overseas Chinese businessmen should actively play a bridge role, tell China's story to the outside world, and help promote the joint construction of the 'Belt and Road'." Chen Jianghe, Honorary President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and Chairman of Singapore's Golden Eagle Group, said that the Belt and Road Initiative has brought more development opportunities to Chinese businessmen in countries along the route, allowing Chinese businessmen to become participants and beneficiaries.

"China's development achievements are accelerating the world's center of gravity eastward." Cai Guanshen, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Xinhua Group, said that China's economic development has directly led to the economic growth and improvement of people's livelihood in many countries, and this mutually beneficial and win-win development model that allows everyone to live a good life is the new plan and new path most needed for world peace and development.

Shi Qianping, chairman of the board of supervisors of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and chairman of Demai International Industry Group Co., Ltd., said that the high-quality development advocated by China in the process of modernization has provided opportunities and broad space for overseas Chinese businessmen. "Overseas Chinese enterprises should take the initiative to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship, gather overseas Chinese wisdom to overcome the key core technologies of the 'stuck neck', and help industrial transformation and upgrading."

Professor Zheng Yongnian of Hong Kong Chinese University (Shenzhen) said in his speech that Chinese-style modernization is not to replace the modernization forms of other countries, but to provide other countries with another traditional value-creating option in addition to Western-style modernization, providing a reference model for countries and societies that are pursuing modernization.

"Overseas Chinese businessmen practice the Chinese business road of keeping promises and honoring contracts, and they interpret the inclusive and open Chinese civilization with business practices that cross borders, cultures and systems." Long Denggao, director of the Chinese Business Research Center of Tsinghua University, said that the adventurous spirit and quality of China Business Tao have enabled overseas Chinese businessmen to find more opportunities and better development.
