According to Mehlen, the United States is "helping" in the investigation of the causes of what happened on the gas pipelines of Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany. However, to date, there are still no conclusions on this issue, the deputy said.

In this regard, the parliamentarian asked the minister what actions are being taken now to facilitate the investigation, "move it forward and protect - in the future - this type of infrastructure" that guarantees the supply of energy resources to France.

Earlier, Spanish MEP Manu Pineda raised the issue of the EU's participation in the investigation of the nord stream explosions. In particular, he was interested in what measures in this context have been taken by the European Union and what results have been achieved so far.

Recall that in early February, the American investigative journalist, winner of the Pulitzer Prize Seymour Hersh said that the explosives in the area of the "Nord Streams" were laid by divers of the US Navy, and it was subsequently activated by the Norwegian Navy.

In an interview with RT, the journalist added that US President Joe Biden lies and hushes up the truth that the undermining of Nord Streams occurred on his orders. According to Hersh, Washington carried out a diversion based on its own political considerations.

Explosions on three lines of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline system occurred on September 26, 2022 near the Danish island of Bornholm.

On March 27, the UN Security Council did not adopt the resolution proposed by Russia on the investigation of the explosions on Nord Streams.
