Overnight snowfall from the southwest partially spills over into rain as milder air takes over in southern and central Götaland.

Wednesday: Three-part

A snowfall will move slowly north over northern Norrland on Wednesday, while rain and snow will move east over Götaland and southern Svealand. In between, a very sunny day, where after a cold start it becomes a brilliant spring-winter day. Snowing in northernmost Götaland and southernmost Svealand can be intense and there is a warning for heavy snowfall issued from Dalsland in the west to southern Södermanland and northern Östergötland in the east, a warning that accompanies the snowing east during the day.

Wednesday night: The rain and snow are pulling away in the south

During the evening, the rain and snow in the south will move further east over the Baltic Sea on the way to the Baltics. Even the snowing in the north gives way more and more during the evening and night, but does not give up completely. In the otherwise clear weather, the temperature drops rapidly, and another cold night awaits.

Thursday: More rain and snow from the southwest

A new rain and snowstorm from the southwest seems to be the tune of the week, because that's exactly what Thursday also offers in the south. At the same time, a scattered snowfall lingers over northern Norrland. Even the clear weather over central Sweden remains, so three-part even on Thursday.

Friday–Saturday–Sunday: Cold month-end

On Friday, Thursday's rain and snow weather in the south will slowly push further south, with cold air taking over across the country. It will be a cold month-end, and the opening April weekend (April 1-2) offers predominantly clear weather. It provides very large temperature commuting between night and day. In the south, frosty nights are followed by gently spring-warm days, and in the north, cold nights are followed by brilliant spring-winter days with a comfortable number of sub-zero temperatures.

Summary for March 29–April 2: Colder than normal

Calculated from Wednesday morning, there will be a clear three-part distribution of precipitation, with relatively much rain and snow in Götaland and a little up over Svealand. Snowfall in northern Norrland is not as extensive, but since it is also cold, snowing can still give quite a large increase in snow depth due to the fluff factor of snowfall. The temperature is on average clearly below normal to be around the turn of the month March–April
