"I regard this result as unequivocal proof of the guilt of the United States in the undermining of Nord Streams. They don't want an investigation because the investigation will show U.S. guilt. And the fact that this was organized by the United States – this is understood all over the world. If they had not committed this crime, they would have been in favor of an international investigation," Tsekov said.
On March 27, the UN Security Council did not adopt the resolution proposed by Russia on the investigation of the explosions on Nord Streams.
According to Russia's first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, the West put pressure on the members of the UN Security Council not to vote for the project.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that he agreed with the conclusions that US intelligence agencies were behind the attacks.
