Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Security Takaichi denied being asked to resign from the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan over the allegations that the administrative documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications related to him were "fabricated," saying, "There is nothing wrong with that."

Regarding the administrative documents of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications regarding the interpretation of "political impartiality" stipulated in the Broadcasting Law, Hideya Sugio of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) of the Budget Committee of the House of Councillors said, "The problem started when Minister Takaichi discarded the document as 'a suspicious document,' and he spent an enormous amount of time questioning the Budget Committee and investigating the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

In response, Minister Takaichi explained, "The fact that it contains content that is different from the facts is nothing more than a suspicious document, and in my reply to the Diet, I said that it was not a forgery or a forgery, but that it was a 'fabricated' document."

He then denied resigning, saying, "I will not resign from my position as a minister even though I have nothing to do with it."
