He noted that the Ukrainian leadership "plays an extremely negative, subversive role," and in the "5 + 2" format, in violation of its status as a mediator, it unequivocally took the side of Chisinau.
According to Lavrov, Kiev strongly supports the militant aspirations of Chisinau, destructive aspirations towards Transnistria.
Also, the Ukrainian side in every possible way demonstrates its readiness to intervene in this process, including with the use of force, Lavrov said.
"I want to say again that Russia is responsible for security in Transnistria in full accordance with the mandate that our servicemen have. We will be guided by this mandate," he warned.
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry said that Russia is making political and diplomatic efforts on the Transnistrian settlement to preserve the "5 + 2" format.
