The Kremlin regrets the decision of the UN Security Council not to support the Russian-Chinese resolution on the international investigation of the Nord Stream bombings. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.

"We believe that everyone should be interested in an objective investigation with the involvement of all interested parties, all those who can shed light on the masterminds and executors of this terrorist act. We consider this extremely important, we regret that the initiative did not pass, but, of course, the Russian side will continue to go to prevent this topic from being wrapped up, "Peskov said.

According to him, Moscow will continue to do everything "to continue to insist and initiate such an international investigation."

On the eve of the official representative of the Kremlin indicated that the West is taking all measures to "wind up" and "drown out" the topic of undermining the "Nord Streams", so that it is not on the agenda.

China also expressed regret that the document was not approved by the UN Security Council.

"The resolution proposed by Russia is a significant option to search for the truth, China regrets that it was not adopted," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a briefing.

On the evening of March 27, the UN Security Council voted on a Russian-Chinese resolution on an international investigation into the Nord Stream bombings. No one voted against the document. Albania, Ecuador, France, Gabon, Ghana, Malta, Mozambique, UNITED Arab Emirates, USA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom abstained.

Russia, China and Brazil voted in favor of the resolution.

"Today's vote has clearly confirmed that our former Western partners believe that they can get away with everything. Later, Russia's first deputy permanent representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, noted that, despite the result, the Russian side is satisfied with the situation, since Western countries did not dare to vote against this resolution.

"I am sure that we in the Security Council will return to this topic later and in general, thanks to our efforts with the Chinese, it has every chance to firmly "register" on the Security Council platform. Later, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stressed that the United States and all those whom they have included as accomplices do not need an investigation into the undermining of Nord Streams.

"It will harm them, it will cause them direct harm, it creates a threat to what is really important for everyone, namely, the appearance of the truth," she said on the air of Solovyov LIVE.

In turn, the head of the international committee of the State Duma, the leader of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky indicated that Russia will continue to seek an objective investigation of the sabotage so that its organizers suffer a well-deserved punishment.
