He also said that Washington saw no signs that Russia could decide to use weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that by July 1, a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons would be built on the territory of Belarus.

The head of the foreign policy service of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said that the EU is ready to impose new sanctions when Russia deploys tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov noted that the reaction of the West will not affect Russia's plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
