This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Russia to international organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov.

"Our requirements are quite modest, understandable and absolutely justified. We need the United States to abandon its hostile policy towards the Russian Federation, and then there will be prerequisites for talking about the START Treaty," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The suspension of Russia's participation in the START Treaty on February 21 during the address to the Federal Assembly was previously announced by President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, he stressed that Moscow does not withdraw from the agreement.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the decision to suspend the country's participation in the START Treaty will not be revised. According to the deputy head of the department, Sergei Ryabkov, Washington too late started talking about a certain plan for inspections.
