Make more ammunition for Ukraine. This is the EU's mission to continue to support Kiev in the face of the Russian invasion. And to carry it out, Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for the Internal Market, wants to go "very quickly". Since the beginning of March, he has launched a tour of European armaments factories and wants to turn Europe into a "war economy". He is this Monday, March 27 in Poland for a new visit.

Thierry Breton will visit a factory that mainly manufactures shells and ammunition for tanks. He is expected in the early afternoon in southern Poland, a hundred kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

He wants to see how this company is working to quickly accelerate the production of ammunition thanks, among other things, to European funds.

And this Polish plant is part of the large state-owned armaments industrial group. It is one of the largest producers on the continent. It is therefore a key visit for Thierry Breton, who wants to accelerate and intensify the sending of European military aid to Ukraine.

And the coincidence of the calendar means that the arrival of the European Commissioner for the Internal Market will be symbolic. Because this weekend, it was activated on the other side of the border: the Kremlin announced that it wanted to install nuclear weapons in Belarus, a country bordering Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and therefore the EU.

Thierry Breton's visit will thus oppose these announcements and will support the European will to respond to Ukraine's demands and face Russian provocations.
