Recently, a number of foreign consuls general in Hong Kong visited the Mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a delegation. They expressed their expectations for the future development of China's economy, believing that the Chinese market is attractive and has potential for cooperation in various fields, which can benefit Chinese and foreign investors.
From 3 to 19 March, foreign consular delegations and business delegations in Hong Kong, hosted by the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, visited four cities in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Dongguan to learn about the development of Mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area.
The delegation consisted of about 120 consuls general of foreign offices in Hong Kong, principal heads of chambers of commerce and executives of multinational enterprises. During the trip, they lamented that "it is better to hear than to see", and some asked for contact information and discussed cooperation at the event site; Some clearly express their willingness to invest; Some say they will look at it again.
During the visit, they visited more than 10 high-tech enterprises to understand the development history and scientific research achievements of enterprises. When visiting BYD in Shenzhen, they also sat in the "cloud bus".

During the trip, many foreign consuls general in Hong Kong expressed their views on China's economic development.
Pablo Macedo Riba, Consul General of Mexico in Hong Kong, told the China News Agency that China's economic development in the past few years has been impressive, and it is expected that it will continue to grow and be in a leading position, China's huge market is still attractive to foreign investors, we hope to benefit from it, and the two countries can seek better cooperation together.

Almas Seitakynov, Consul General of Kazakhstan in Hong Kong, said at the Zhuhai promotion meeting that China and Kazakhstan have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, we support the "Belt and Road" initiative, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries is booming, we are interested in cooperating with China in the fields of new technologies, green energy and agriculture and food supply, and the Greater Bay Area also provides new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of finance and information technology.

Bilal Ahmad Butt, consul general of Pakistan in Hong Kong, told reporters that the current slowdown in global demand growth has some impacts, but it is believed that it is a temporary phenomenon, and demand growth will reappear. China is Pakistan's largest trading partner and believes that our trade volume will continue to increase in the future.
Amir Shlomo LATY, Consul General of Israel in Hong Kong, said at the Dongguan promotion conference that the Greater Bay Area is one of China's promising economic blueprints, and we are open to more cooperation models, such as big health, new energy and other fields.

Peyami Kalyoncu, Consul General of Turkey in Hong Kong, said at the Nansha promotion meeting that China is Turkey's second largest trading partner, and we hope that in the future, the two sides will expand bilateral trade volume, increase exports of Turkish products to China, and achieve more valuable trade relations, and continue to encourage Turkish companies and brands to explore the opportunities provided by the Chinese consumer market in a wider range of fields, and we will continue to support the "Belt and Road" initiative.
