• Events They steal 132 bottles of wine valued at 200,000 euros in the restaurant Coque, Mario Sandoval

The National Police has arrested three men for stealing bottles of wine - valued at about 25,000 euros - in three luxury wine bars in the Madrid district of Salamanca, according to police sources. Among the stolen wines aresome bottles from the Petrus winery that are sold for a price of up to 8,000 euros.

The alleged perpetrators of the robberies, arrested last week, have already been brought to justice for three events that occurred between June 2022 and January 2023 in different establishments specializing in the sale of wines, explained the aforementioned police sources.

The investigation began as a result of the first of the reported robberies, last June, after which the agents verified that there were other similar complaints.

According to the Police, the alleged perpetrators went to the establishment to "ask and inform themselves of the different products and detect the wines that were inside with high value". Later they returned to steal them, hiding the bottles under their clothes without paying for them and even "forcing the door of the showcases", as revealed by the security cameras of the establishments, and whose images have been key to the identification of the criminals.

In principle, the Police rule out that these new robberies are related to the theft of 132 bottles of wine valued at about 175,000 euros in the Coque restaurant, owned by the Sandoval family and located on Marqués de Riscal Street, last November.
