– We have said that we must go out and look at the hall in Alstermo before we can take a stand, none of us in the arena group have been there yet, says Peter Gentzel, who is one of the members of the Handball Association's arena group, to SVT Småland.

It is tonight that it formally becomes clear that Amo Handboll will play in the Handball League next season. But where they will play their matches after they go up is still unclear as their current hall does not meet the requirement for at least 1500 people to be accommodated in the crowd.

Welcoming games in Kosta

At a meeting on Thursday, the association received information that the club has agreed with Torsten Jansson's real estate company that they can rent there. A solution they welcome.

"It works both for the Handball League and for the European Cup if that were to be the case, it's no problem," says Peter Gentzel.

"Only bonus if they want to play here"

And Amo is more than welcome to Kosta, according to Emil A Jansson, who is project manager for the construction, which can start in a few weeks.

"We've had dialogue with them for quite some time, and for us it's just a bonus if they want to play here," he told SVT Småland.

But construction will take about a year, and it is currently unclear how the federation stands on granting exemptions for games in the Amo cable hall next season.

"I can't comment on it until we've been there, and we're looking at the date for it right now," Gentzel says.
