At a meeting of a bipartisan parliamentary coalition held following Prime Minister Kishida's visit to Ukraine, Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Korsunsky expressed his gratitude for the visit and also called for support for reconstruction.

The Parliamentary League of Friendship between Japan and Ukraine held a meeting in the Diet on the afternoon of the 24th, attended by about 20 members of the ruling and opposition parties.

Former Minister of Justice Eisuke Mori of the Liberal Democratic Party, who serves as the chairman of the Parliamentary League, praised Prime Minister Kishida's direct encouragement and solidarity to the Ukrainian people and contributed to strengthening the bonds between the two countries, while Izumi, a representative of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan who serves as vice chairman, said, "This visit was meaningful and I would like to continue to support Ukraine."

In response, Ambassador Korsunsky of Ukraine said, "It was wonderful that Prime Minister Kishida visited Ukraine at the same time as Chinese President Xi Jinping was visiting Russia," and expressed his gratitude, and also called for support for Ukraine's reconstruction, noting that Japan has experienced recovery from war and natural disasters.
