The Syrian military repelled an attempt by militants to break into a settlement in Aleppo

This was announced by the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in the Arab Republic, Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov.

"In the province of Aleppo, near the village of Urum al-Sughra, militants of the terrorist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham * attempted to break into the territory controlled by the Syrian government forces. When repelling the attack of militants, one Syrian soldier was killed, six were wounded," he said.

Government forces "killed nine militants," Gurinov added.
