To protest against the pension reform, the CGT Energy called for a strike in the refineries. Several sites have been shut down for several days, causing gasoline shortages in the country. Employees have been requisitioned, which the unions deplore.

How to put an end to the shortage of gasoline at petrol stations? For several days, employees have been striking to protest against the pension reform. Currently, 15% of petrol stations are facing a shortage. Four employees of the Gonfreville-l'Orcher refinery were requisitioned this Thursday evening at the request of the Ministry of Energy Transition.

The goal? Unblock the kerosene transport of Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. And for Eric Sellini, federal secretary of the Fnic-CGT, these requisitions represent an attack on the right to strike. "For us, they are completely illegal. When they are requisitioned, they can have a choice except that they incur heavy fines, but also prison sentences. This is not only a deliberate attack on the right to strike, but it is also ultra-violent as a method. The situation is completely absurd."

The situation in Occitania worries the executive

The other requisitioned refinery is that of Fos-sur-Mer, this has been the case for several days now. This requisition aims to ease the situation in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, where nearly one in three service stations lacks at least one fuel. The situation is more tense in the west of the country, Brittany and the Pays de la Loire, where more than one service station in three lacks at least fuel. The Ministry of Energy Transition is also increasingly concerned about the situation in Occitania.
