The sued company has worked as subcontractors at, among other things, hospital and university constructions, primarily in Småland and Blekinge. They have been involved in building the acclaimed new hotel in the Match area in Jönköping and apartments in the Snöflingan block in Växjö.

According to Bygg, their review has shown repeated cases where employees have received neither the proper salary nor holiday pay. Nor the compensation for inconvenient working hours or pension contributions to which they are entitled.

"It feels like Monday all week when we are once again forced to sue a foreign construction company for cheating on wages and compensation. This clearly shows that the large construction companies do not have control over their subcontractors and that stricter controls are needed to deal with working life crime in the industry, says Torbjörn Hagelin, Building's contract secretary.
