This is reported by RT in the Balkans.

According to him, 15 tons of depleted uranium were dropped on the territory of central Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija.

"According to NATO itself, this is a higher level of radiation than Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This uranium will remain forever in Serbia, which means that our citizens will get sick more and more. We have a cancer epidemic. Every year, 30 thousand people fall ill, 15 thousand die. This suggests that depleted uranium collects its tribute in Serbia every year," he said.

According to him, NATO believes that they have immunity and they are not responsible.

"We dispute that, because it's not. NATO must answer for civilian victims, for people who are still falling ill due to an environmental catastrophe," the lawyer explained.

He noted that the alliance should pay damages to Serbian citizens who have fallen ill with cancer, in cases where it is possible to prove that there is a causal relationship between depleted uranium and the disease.

"This is proved by blood tests, a biopsy that we conducted on two of our citizens in Turin, Italy, just as the Italian military from the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo and Bosnia did. We received confirmation that the presence of depleted uranium in the body is 500 times higher than the permissible norm," Aleksich said.

In January 2022, Srdjan Aleksić announced that two new lawsuits against NATO would be filed with the High Court in Belgrade from victims of the 1999 depleted uranium bombing.

According to him, it is necessary to clearly prove that in the place where the plaintiffs were located, NATO bombed depleted uranium.

As the lawyer emphasized, the alliance on Serbian territory used depleted uranium, although it could, having superiority in force, use conventional weapons.
