Jerusalemites celebrated the lighting of the Ramadan Jerusalem lantern at the Burj Al-Luqluq Community Association, amid joyful faith and artistic activities that began after Taraweeh prayers on the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan inside the walls of the occupied city.

The lighting ceremony was preceded by 5 festive tracks, which started in front of the historic gates of Jerusalem, to the place of celebration with the lighting of the Ramadan lantern, where the first track, which started from the gate of Hatta, was participated by a Jerusalem band for folklore and religious songs.

Scouting and artistic teams participated in the other four tracks, which started from Bab al-Sahira, Damascus Gate, Lions Gate and Salah al-Din Street.

Palestinians documented part of the five paths that roamed the streets and alleys of occupied Jerusalem, amid wide interaction of citizens with these events, which come in light of the restrictions and measures of the occupation in the holy city.

Participants celebrated the lighting of the lantern, which reaches a height of more than 9 meters at the headquarters of the Stork Tower Association, while artistic groups performed a Ramadan evening punctuated by religious songs.

Journalists and participants documented scenes from the celebration, which showed a side of joy and joy in the streets and alleys of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.

The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, and sponsoring the lighting of the "Ramadan Lantern", announced its program of community events during the month of Ramadan funded by the Kingdom of Morocco.
