Seoul, March 3 (Reporter Liu Xu) On the evening of the 23nd local time, the fifth "New Era China Lecture Hall" held an opening ceremony in Seoul, South Korea. Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Xing Haiming attended and delivered a speech, Ji Longze, Chairman of the Korea Saar Cultural Foundation, Li Xijun, former Director of the State Affairs Adjustment Office, Choi Won-shik and Choi Jae-chan, former members of the National Assembly, Qu Huan, President of the Korean Chinese and Chemical Friendship Association, and more than 22 students from all walks of life in South Korea attended the meeting.

Xing Haiming said that last week, China's National Two Sessions concluded successfully, and the meeting elected a new member of China's state institutions, and China's new central government will follow the grand blueprint drawn up by the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and lead the people of all ethnic groups in the country to turn the grand blueprint into a beautiful reality step by step. Xing Haiming expressed the hope that all students will strive to be the propagators and promoters of China-South Korea friendship and cooperation, and make positive efforts to compose a concerto of complementarity, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation between China and South Korea.

Ji Yongze said that South Korea and China are permanent neighbors and important trading partners that cannot be moved, and only by enhancing mutual understanding can we develop closer cooperation. The "China Lecture Hall in the New Era" provides a good platform for elites from all walks of life in Korea to learn and understand China. I hope that the participants here will strive to learn about China's economy, history, culture and other fields, and become a candle that illuminates the bright future of Korea-China relations.

Li Xijun said that I have had many working contacts with Chinese government personnel and am deeply impressed by the efficient decision-making and deployment of the Chinese government. South Korea and China are deeply integrated in economy and trade, and the industrial chain and supply chain are inseparable, it can be said that if China's economy is good, South Korea's economy will be good. It is expected that China's economy will recover rapidly, and the RMB will play an increasingly important role in international finance and trade, providing more development opportunities for South Korea. It is hoped that South Korea and China will work hand in hand for mutual benefit and create a better future for the benefit of the two peoples.

The "New Era China Lecture Hall" has been successfully held for four sessions since 2020, inviting experts from China and South Korea to teach Korean elites from all walks of life on the politics, economy, society and culture of contemporary China, and is committed to enhancing the understanding and cognition of China among people from all walks of life in Korea.
