According to reports, passengers can purchase high-speed rail tickets between the mainland and Hong Kong through various methods such as the railway 12306 website (including client), station ticket windows, sales outlets, and automatic ticket vending (pick-up) machines. In terms of ticket prices, the reporter logged on to the 12306 website to inquire and found that the price of the second-class seat of the Shanghai-Hong Kong high-speed rail adult ticket is 894 yuan (RMB, the same below), the first-class seat is 1452.5 yuan, and the business seat is 2856.5 yuan; the children's ticket price is halved on the basis of the adult ticket.

In addition, due to the implementation of electronic tickets on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway, railway 12306 has also optimized the registration function at the same time, allowing passengers to register with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan mobile phone numbers to receive 12306 railway service notifications. It is worth noting that passengers should purchase tickets through 12306 and mobile apps no later than 30 minutes before departure, and trains departing from West Kowloon Station no later than 45 minutes before departure.

With the resumption of visas for mainland residents traveling and going to Hong Kong for business on January 1, tourism between Shanghai and Hong Kong is gradually "heating up". Passengers travelling between Shanghai and Hong Kong by high-speed rail are required to bring their same-day ticket (e-ticket), the original valid identity document used when purchasing the ticket, the Hong Kong and Macao Pass, the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, passports or other travel documents, and confirm that the documents are within the validity period.

The railway department reminds that Hong Kong West Kowloon Station currently adopts the "one place, two checks" customs clearance mode, no matter which station they enter from along the way, passengers can board the train directly, and then carry out the exit and entry customs clearance procedures after arriving at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.
