and Sayaka Sato (53),

newcomer to the 48 Female Political Party.

In this Osaka gubernatorial election, Mr. Yoshimura, who is the incumbent who serves as the representative of the Osaka Restoration Association, and is seeking a second election, is challenged by political groups calling for a review of the Restoration Government, and newcomers such as Mr. Taniguchi, a legal scholar who is voluntarily supported by members of the Liberal Democratic Party and the Constitutional Democratic Party, and Mr. Tatsumi, a former member of the House of Councillors recommended by the Communist Party.

Mayumi Taniguchi said, "How do you evaluate the past decade or so? I want children, young people, and the elderly to feel that Osaka is a good city with hope."

Toshiaki Yoshino said, "I am very opposed to casinos, because they can make you addicted. Isn't the measure against addiction not to build a casino? Let's change Osaka together."

Kotaro Tatsumi said, "The casino project can be stopped. I want to create an Osaka where we can have hope and hand hope to our children. Please, everyone, fight together until the very end."

Mr. Hirofumi Yoshimura said, "I would like to see the creation of a society in which high school tuition is free for all children in Osaka, Osaka Metropolitan University is free of charge, and if the children of Osaka want to follow this path, that path is open. Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City will work together to implement Osaka's growth strategy. It's a shame to return to the messed up state of the past dual administration."

Mr. Hideya Inagaki said, "National defense is the greatest welfare, and we will send out nuclear armament for self-defense from Osaka and protect the lives of the people of Osaka Prefecture."

Sayaka Sato said, "I would like to appeal for the political participation of women and young people in the future, and Japan I will do my best to enliven Osaka."
