The Architecture Rebellion's annual competition, the Kasper Turkey Prize, has named the new Brandbergen center as Sweden's second ugliest new building. At the same time, Lillgårdsskolan in Tungelsta tlll is appointed the third most beautiful new building.

Michael Diamant at Arkitekturupproret believes that the new high-rise buildings in Brandbergen are ugly, and that it is not possible to relativize around it. He points out that Sweden should do as in several other countries: Build lower.

"There are very nice examples in Paris, for example. They have converted very boring concrete suburbs into classic garden cities, without people having to move away.
