During a visit to Sarajevo, the minister was asked about the U.S. report on human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"I must say, I am shocked, and every year I am again and again shocked that the US State Department takes the liberty to characterize other countries and make similar statements ex cathedra about internal problems and the situation of other countries," RIA Novosti quoted Szijjártó as saying.

The minister called it outrageous that "Washington bureaucrats" gather and make such statements about other countries, "referring to all sorts of one-sided information, the financing of which in many cases comes from the United States."

"Stop it already," he urged.

Only the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina or Hungary can decide whether they are satisfied with their power and the situation in the country, the Foreign Minister stressed.
