It was after Karlskrona HK raised money during what they called the "teddy bear match" – that SEK 33,500 was raised. The money was enough for 340 teddy bears that were delivered to Blekinge Hospital on Wednesday.

"We see how important the teddy bear is for the children who are inside or seeking an emergency. It provides peace of mind and security," says Linn Gagner, a nurse at the emergency department, who was also the one who initiated the teddy bear collection.

Should provide security

The Hug Bears were delivered by, among others, hockey profile Alexander Bergström. Their purpose will now be to bring security and joy to children in the health care system in Blekinge.

"It feels absolutely fantastic, it's overwhelming. We will spread around these where we have our sick children: Among other things, the ambulance, habilitation and children's clinic will receive.
